Valentine’s Recap

 100_7365

I made this cutie for Mrs. Wray, my Big Girl’s 2nd grade teacher.

I found the towels at Target and made the apron to coordinate.

Love the apron?

Check back on Monday, when I’ll be giving away a free copy of the pattern from Brassy Apple.

My kids love to share.

As parents, we work so hard to teach our kids to share.  100_7140

And we’re so proud when they share.  100_7132

Until they share germs.  100_7128

Yuck.

We’re still here.

And I think maybe everyone is feeling a little better.

An Old Joke (and Lots of Irony)

There’s a great old joke about a Cajun who dies and goes to Hell.  When he gets there Satan tries everything in his power to make the Cajun uncomfortable.  Since our little Cajun is used to heat, humidity and big mosquitoes, Satan turns down the thermostat instead—only to find that our dear Cajun is whoopin’ and hollerin’ and having a grand time in the snows of Hell!  When Satan asks why he is so happy, the Cajun exclaims:  “Hell has froze over, da Saints musta won da Super Bowl!”

Yep.  The Saints did just win the Super Bowl and while I can’t comment on the validity of any icy precipitation in Hell, I can tell you that we got 6+ inches last week in Louisiana!  It snowed for about 12 hours before anything stuck, but when it did stick, we got 4 inches on the ground.

The joke might not be funny any more, but the irony sure is!

By Saturday morning for our birthday party, it was mostly melted, leaving a cold, soggy yard!

What I’ve been up to…

A little while back, I tried etsy.com.

It didn’t work for me.

At least I thought it didn’t.

Now, I’ve decided to give it another go.

I’ve loaded it up (okay, so I’m slowly building it up) with some surefire sellers:

anything purple and gold or Who Dat.

Here are a few of the outfits I’ve listed:

I’m so excited!

You can find my shop at:

It appears etsy.com might work for me after all.

It helps that the Saints are in the Super Bowl, but we’ll take what we can get!

WHO DAT!
