Oops.
I forgot to show this fellow in my pictures yesterday.
He wanted to learn to sew also.
Why should the girls have all the fun?
We worked out sometime for a class.
He made PJ bottoms and 2 pillowcases.
We had a blast!

Hi there.
Yep, it has been a while.
We been enjoying the summer with a little swimming, a little gardening, a little reading, a little canning, and a whole lot of sewing.
There have been:
Wow. That’s a lot of numbers. Here are a few pictures to go along with those numbers.

Anyway, we have about 2 1/2 weeks left until school starts with a trip and lots more sewing planned. I’ve got another girls’ class in a week and, all of the sudden, the orders for LSU and Saints fans have picked way up. Must be 35 days until kick-off for the Tigers and 41 days until the Saints start the NFL season, but really, who’s counting!
I have discovered Burdastyle.com .
Oh my, the goodness to download and sew.
This is the Estelle bag.
The fabric is from Hancock’s Fabrics. The flower is from Hobby Lobby.

This bag makes me smile.
Everyday in June these two woke by 7 to be at the pool by 8.
And once a week, they braved the heat and the sun,
to swim freestyle,
backstroke,
and the butterfly!
To have a fabulous swim team season!
This was LM’s first year to really compete. He swam in 4 of 5 meets and improved his performances every time. His little 5 year old relay team came in 14 of 20 at the City Meet and he won his VERY FIRST colored ribbon. This was a VERY big deal for him! BG had a fabulous season. Each week she competed with sixty to eighty 7-8 year old girls. She won at least 2 ribbons at every meet and took the bronze medal in the backstroke at the City Meet. She swam all 4 strokes at some point in the season, but she excelled in butterfly, back, and 50 m freestyle!
Through it all, I was most proud of their attitudes. I never heard a complaint about the early mornings, the practices, or the meets. They had a blast!
