My girlie-girl needed ruffles for Christmas. Ask anyone who knows me, I don’t do ruffles. After some brainstorming and a few sketches, we decided on this skirt.
The fabrics are straight out of my Mom’s quilting stash! They are from a Moda line. The shirt was picked up at a children’s store. I used this tutorial as my starting point for the skirt (but our skirt is a separate piece) and this tutorial as the starting point for the ruffled flower. She loves it!
p.s. Check out the new glasses. I think she’s too cute in them.

I love it (and the new glasses too)! I'm also getting ready to make the girls some skirts with some great Christmas fabric (50 percent off too - woo hoo!) but can't decide if I want to do ruffles or not? Decisions, decisions...
